This newborn fawn was found a couple of hours after it was born. My husband went for a little ride out back on his 4 wheeler and noticed a deer squatting down. He thought something might be wrong with her and then she bolted! He walked over to where she was to investigate and found her newborn baby! I would seem mom was just nursing it.
Thank goodness he always has a camera handy! He came to the house to show me the pictures and that wasn't enough, I needed to see the baby.
When I seen it up close I just wanted to pick it up and hold it. Of course I didn't. It was so tiny & cute. We left the baby so mom could come back and take care of it. What a great experience!
Just goes to show you at Chimes and Birds, it's not all about birds!
