Now that Easter has past & Mother's Day has gone don't forget to skip into your local garden centers for clearance bulbs and plants. This is a very in-expensive way to continue adding perennials to your flowerbeds. Some flowers or plants might not look like much at this time, but next year and for years to come you'll be rewarded with their beauty!
I picked up these small bulb containers with a variety of bulbs to plant. When I added all the containers up retail would have been $42! I got eight pots for $16! Sure I could of waited just a bit long and got them much cheaper but I still saved a ton!
Once you get them home bring the ones that haven't bloomed yet inside to add burst of color. When they're done flowering just plant them outside! Make sure the outside conditions allow for planting in your area.
I like my flowerbeds to have blooms through out the season, and this helps add color when other bloomers are still coming around.
After planting I add my birdbaths, water fountains or wind chimes to the flowerbeds to complete the project. Great garden accessories can be found at Chimes and Birds!
Enjoy your yard!
